Phoenix Police Detectives Make Arrest In Halbach Homicide Case

After nearly a yearlong investigation, Phoenix Police Department detectives have arrested 66-year-old Timothy Stroble for the murder of Beverly Halbach which happened in June of 2024.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, just before 1:00 p.m. on June 13, 2024, Phoenix police officers responded to a house in the area of 20000 North 35th Street to investigate the death of 69-year-old Beverly Halbach. When officers arrived on scene, they began to investigate and identified suspicious circumstances surrounding Halbach’s death.

The medical examiner ruled Halbach’s death a homicide. Investigators worked diligently for the next eleven months to collect evidence which led to the arrest of Timothy Stroble.

On May 13, 2025, detectives booked Stroble into Maricopa County jail for 1st Degree murder and kidnapping.
