Two people are dead after a helicopter and small aircraft collided in Chandler, according to the Chandler Police Department.
According to Sgt. Jason McClimans of the Chandler Police Department, the accident happened at approximately 7:30 a.m. Friday.
The Piper aircraft was landing when it collided with the helicopter. The plane was able to land safely while the helicopter crashed, killing the two occupants inside.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigation the collision.
