Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating a shooting in Ahwatukee that claimed the life of a man.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on December 26, 2024, around 4:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of 8800 South Point Parkway East regarding a shots fired call. As officers were responding, they learned that multiple shots were fired and that a man was injured. When officers arrived, they located 26-year-old Khamari Hodges with at least one gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased by the fire department on scene. An adult female was also located with non-life-threatening injuries, that were not gunshot wounds. This woman was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
