Arizona’s House delegation broke along party lines on Thursday to pass President Donald Trump’s “big beautiful bill.”
The bill, which passed on a 215-214 vote, includes permanent tax cuts and new funding for national defense and border security.
Rep. Schweikert was the lone Arizona congressional member to fail to cast a vote. According to Politico, Schweikert arrived “late to the chamber and the vote gaveled closed before his vote in favor of the bill could be counted.
Congressman Hamadeh proudly voted in favor of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, keeping his promise to fully fund and advance President Trump's incredible America First agenda.

Arizonans will wake up to read that, while they slept, House Republicans jammed through their disastrous tax scheme.

As Republicans pushed through their bill to decimate benefits for working people and give tax breaks to Big Oil, I introduced an amendment to stop Members of Congress from trading stocks and profiting off of this betrayal of their constituents.

Stanton must have memory loss. How many times did Pelosi push a thousand page or more bill in the dead of night and say we are voting in 6 hours. This is wrong no matter what party is in control, however, we know when bills are about to be voted on so if we don’t voice our concerns with our Congressmen/women and senators, that is our own fault. Schweikert not being there and showing up after the vote is total BS. Either be there to vote or sit your butt at home and allow someone who will vote one way or the other. We send you to do a job, not to be absent from important votes
Let’s go AZ-6! Ciscomani is no Thomas Massie, Mike Lee, or Andy Biggs, but at least he’s a better rep than Kirsten Engel ever would have been. There’s so much wrong with The Big Beautiful Bill, but I’m willing to give 47 a fair amount of rope to turn this ship around given his (unconventional) track record of results. So, while I’m glad Ciscomani voted for it, I hope he starts adopting more free-market, minimal government, and federalism-oriented policies, like the aforementioned gentlemen.
