It has been a while since Jimmy Kimmel was funny, but now his late-night-talk show-turned-soapbox is anything but funny for a group of Arizona first responders in the Northwest Fire District.
On Thursday, the Northwest Fire District tweeted about Kimmel’s unfunny skit:
It has come to our attention that one of our Engines was displayed in a skit on The Jimmy Kimmel show last night. The video appears to be footage found on the internet and was NOT provided by the District. This footage was used without our knowledge or permission.

Northwest Fire isn’t the only agency that is upset with Kimmel. According to the Daily Bulletin, “The Chino Valley Fire District is upset that late-night TV show Jimmy Kimmel Live! aired a skit Wednesday, Dec. 13, that showed the district’s logo without permission and an actor who pretended to be the Fire District’s chief telling people how to safely burn President Donald Trump “Make America Great Again” hats.”
“As the skit began, an actor stood in front of a fire engine in a fire station,” the Daily Bulletin reported. “A graphic on the screen showed the district logo and the words “A Message from the Chino Fire Department” and “Bob Cooper Chino Valley Fire Chief.”
“We are not a political organization,” said chief of the Chino Valley Fire District, Tim Shackelford. “Our mission is to protect lives and property and I am troubled by the video because it does not portray us in a positive, professional manor.”
The Northwest Fire District serves communities in Pima County, Arizona.
