11 defendants facing multiple charges in South Phoenix crack cocaine ring

PHOENIX —  State Grand Jury has indicted 11 people for their alleged involvement in, or association with an operation that allegedly distributed crack cocaine, Oxycodone and marijuana.

Charles Sam Riggins, Jr. and Rachelle Woodard, both 40-year-old Phoenix residents were are among those indicted. Riggins and Woodard were allegedly selling the drugs to several of the defendants.

The indictments are for more than 30 criminal counts including illegally conducting an enterprise;  involving the sale of of the narcotics; and misconduct involving weapons.

The grand jury was convened after officers from several law enforcement agencies served about 14 search warrants in the South Phoenix area and arrested the suspects, between Jan. 25 and Feb. 8. The Phoenix Police Department led the year-long investigation, said a release from the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.
