Man In Custody, Two Women Dead After Pima County Vehicle Collision

PIMA COUNTY – Luanna Encinas and Priscilla Tamez have been identified as the victims of a deadly collision on Saturday night. Shane Mabe was arrested for 2 counts of Second Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, Criminal Damage and DUI.

According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office, on February 29, 2020, around 11:00 p.m., deputies responded to Magee Rd and Paseo Del Norte, for a report of a two-vehicle collision with multiple injuries.

Mabe, age 26, who was traveling alone heading east on Magee, collided in the intersection with a Westbound SUV with Luanna Encinas, age 24, and Priscilla Tamez, age 41, and a man. Ms. Encinas and Ms. Tamez were declared deceased on-scene and the male driver, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Mabe, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
