On Tuesday, a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Detention officer was killed when his vehicle was rear-ended by a semi-truck on State Route 85. Officer Justin Folsome had been with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office since June 2012.
At the tie of his death he was assigned to the Intake, Transfer and Release facility.
“This loss is tragic and heartbreaking,” said Sheriff Paul Penzone. “I ask that Officer Folsome’s family receive all the love and support possible during this time of sadness and loss.”
