FBI Looking To Identify Piggy Bank Bandit

PHOENIX – The FBI is attempting to identify a bank robber they have dubbed the Piggy Bank Bandit.

According to the FBI, the Piggy Bank Bandit has hit multiple banks around the Phoenix valley. He is described as white, approximately 5’6″ to 5’8″ tall, and between 25 to 35 years of age.

The Piggy Bank Bandit has been observed wearing a “beanie”- style hat, a hooded sweatshirt, long pants, black rimmed glasses, a black facial mask, and has carried a backpack during the incidents.

On December 1, 2020, at approximately 3:50 p.m., he entered the US Bank located at 1800 East Baseline Road in Tempe, Arizona. He approached an open teller and presented a demand note. The teller complied and the Piggy Bank Bandit was given money before fleeing the bank on foot.

On December 17, 2020, at approximately 5:50 p.m., the Piggy Bank Bandit entered the Desert Financial Credit Union located at 2355 South Alma School Road in Mesa, Arizona. He approached an open teller and presented a demand note. The teller complied and the Piggy Bank Bandit was given money before fleeing the bank on foot.

On December 18, 2020, at approximately 3:25 p.m., the Piggy Bank Bandit entered the Arizona Federal Credit Union located at 15625 South 48th Street in Phoenix, Arizona. He approached an open teller and presented a demand note. The teller complied and the Piggy Bank Bandit was given money before fleeing the bank on foot.

On February 22, 2021, at approximately 1:39 p.m., the Piggy Bank Bandit entered the US Bank located at 2811 South Market Street in Gilbert, Arizona. He approached an open teller and presented a demand note. The teller complied and the Piggy Bank Bandit was given money before fleeing the bank on foot.
