Peoria Police Shoot, Injure Woman Shooting At Them

Peoria Police Department officers shot a woman, Autumn Burton, who was shooting at them.

According to the Peoria Police Department, Burton was seen breaking into vehicles and pointed a gun at the officers and began shooting when she was confronted at around 1:30 p.m. on July 15, 2021.

Burton, age 19, of Glendale was transported to the hospital and has since been released.

No officers or innocent bystanders were injured during this incident.

The Police Department says dispatch received multiple calls regarding a female that was possibly breaking in to vehicles in the parking lot of 6800 W. Peoria Avenue.
