The body of a missing Phoenix man was found near I-17. His car, a 2020 White Lexus UX, was found burned in Phoenix over the weekend.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), on Friday, December 31, 2021, deputies responded to the location of Table Mesa Road, west of I-17, for a body found in the desert. The MCSO Homicide Unit assumed the investigation, and on Monday identified the decedent as 41-year-old Benjamin Anderson.
Benjamin had previously been reported as a missing person to Phoenix Police Department the same day.
MCSO says the investigation is actively open and it asks anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact MCSO at 602-876-TIPS or 602-876-1011 and reference MCSO report # (IR21-037309).
