Jaywalker Dies After Being Struck In Phoenix Roadway

Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a collision that left a pedestrian dead.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on June 26, 2024, around 9:20 p.m., officers responded to the area of 40th Avenue and Camelback Road regarding a collision involving a pedestrian. When officers arrived, they located an adult male with serious injuries. The man was transported to a nearby hospital where he was ultimately pronounced deceased. The two vehicles involved in this collision remained on scene.

Impairment is not believed to be a factor in this collision.

Detectives believe that the victim was crossing Camelback Road, midblock, when he was struck by both vehicles involved, both of which were traveling westbound on Camelback Road.

    Impairment is not believed to be a factor in this collision… what! The crosser was probably stoned to the bone – we all see people just wandering into traffic – haven’t we all had to blow the horn to wake someone to the danger they are submitting themselves too? STONED – that they blame the driver, or try, but ‘Impairment’ not a factor… its the CAUSE – the walking dead.
