On Saturday night, a group of approximately 50 or more individuals shouting political statements looted a QT store in Surprise near Bell Road and State Route 303.
According to the Surprise Police Department, the “reckless criminal behavior directly interfered with access to a nearby hospital, affecting patients needing emergency medical care.”
Sources say a group of mostly Latino individuals shouted “politically motivated statements” while engaging in the criminal activity.”
On Saturday, groups aligned with the Democratic Party held anti-ICE protests in communities across the country. The QT store is down the street from where the “No Kings” event was held in Surprise.
“Acts of violence, looting, and organized criminal behavior will not be tolerated in our city. These actions threaten the safety and security of our residents, businesses, and critical services,” the Surprise Police Department posted on Facebook.
The Surprise Police Department is “calling on the public. If you witnessed the incident or have any information, photos, or video footage that can help identify those responsible, please contact us immediately at 623-222-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip through crimetips@surpriseaz.gov, reference incident 250603149.”
The Department, pledged to “use every available resource, including surveillance footage, witness statements, and digital evidence, to identify, arrest, and prosecute all individuals involved to the fullest extent of the law. The safety of our community is our top priority. We stand with our local businesses, our healthcare providers, and every resident of Surprise who deserves to live in a safe, peaceful city. Together, we will hold those responsible accountable and continue to protect the community we are proud to serve.”
Last week, during a drug trafficking arrest a Peoria Police officer was assaulted by anti-ICE activists who believed the drug bust was an immigration raid in Peoria.

The activists turned up to confront police after receiving a community alert from the Party for Socialism and Liberation of Phoenix.
The Peoria Police Department (PPD) issued a statement to correct the record: the Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) operation in Peoria concerned a search warrant for a drug investigation — not immigration enforcement.
“During the incident, misinformation circulated online, drawing protesters to the scene under the false belief it involved immigration enforcement,” stated PPD. “Unfortunately, the situation escalated when a suspect assaulted a police officer, and the crowd’s behavior became increasingly disruptive.”
As grassroots as astro-turf! This is dark money funded and organized. It’s also really poor theater. These numbskulls must exposed, shamed and punished.
Every single one of these agitators needs to be arrested and put behind bars. There should be a zero tolerance policy on assaults against any policing agency…..period!

This is what happens when there’s no punishment for criminal behavior for 5 or 6 years. The criminals act without expectation of facing charges and they incite others to join them. I would bet the people that hit the QT Market weren’t local because the Surprise Police aren’t going to put up with this. I hope they track down each of them and make an example of them.
Corporal punishment should still be a thing.
