Detectives from TPD’s Child Sexual Assault Unit responded to Amphi High School on January 22, after an off duty Tucson Police Officer was advised by staff members of an incident in which a teacher’s aide had sexual contact with multiple students.
Detectives learned that the incident involved an adult female teacher’s aide, Clarice Lee, and six male high school students. Their ages ranged from 16 to 18 years of age. Detectives determined that on January 18, 2013, during lunch period, the teacher’s aide and the six students went to a location on the Amphi Campus. Lee, age 22, engaged in sexual contact with two 18-year old students and sexual intercourse with a 16-year old student. The activity took place in the presence of the three other students, one of which filmed the incident on a cell phone video camera.
Detectives arrested Lee for four counts of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor. She was booked into the Pima County Jail. Ms. Lee has been employed by Amphi High School since August of 2012 as a teacher’s aide for special needs children.
