A Mrs. Powell of Philadelphia asked Ben Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy”? With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded “A republic, if you can keep it.”
Keeping a democratic republic relies on an informed public. Access to information is an essential component to preserving our republic.
It seems that Chuck Wooten is the only candidate in CD 2 that respects the voters enough to share his positions openly with the public.
Cancellation of the CD2 debate happened because McSally & her establishment big money backers are scared to put her out in the public for fear she might say the wrong thing. She has been told her campaign strategy is to only recognizes Barber as her competitor. She is a shill for McCain, Boehner, Cantor, RNC, NRCC, and the rest of the moneyed GOP elites. Obvisously she is bought and paid for and could care less about her constituents. She will vote with McCain & Boehner every time. It’s now very plain that Kais, having pulled out, just yesterday at the last minute, is a ringer for McSally. She is also a weak candidate and doesn’t know any more than someone with a good computer could find out. She is supported big time by the local party and it’s rumoured for her efforts she will be rewarded with the Chairmanship of the Pima County GOP when Cox steps down. These two were selected by the GOP to show the democrats that republicans like women also. What a sad state of affairs that a chromosome makes a difference in supporting candidates instead of principles and positions. This is why there are so many independent voters in AZ. The party doesn’t care about citizens anymore. It’s a game to Bruce Ash, Emil Franzi, Carolyn Cox, Linda White, Benny White, Ray Carroll and it seems Frank Antenori has now joined them. We need to clean house and maybe we will get a citizen selected candidate like Chuck Wooten supported by the party. Miracles still happen.
Chuck is a citizen selected candidate who has been fighting the elites since he started. The local party has been disgusting to him especially Carolyn Cox. He has interrupted their simple plans. They would rather seen Barber in for another term than Chuck. Barber is more aligned with their beliefs than chuck is. The Republican party has gone way off kilter and this is just one example. Help us create another Dave Brat in Pima County.
Get out and work. Knock on doors. Get off your cans if you want to save this country and put people in office who will respect the public and not kowtow to the party.
