Letter to the Editor: Rios did not reach out to concerned citizens of Oracle

sycamore-canyon-academy-escapeDear Editor

This is in response to Peter Rios’ article of September 3, 2014 regarding the illegals quietly dumped in Peppersauce Canyon by our government in August 2014.

Make no mistake about it, these are people who have violated our laws, are criminals in that sense, yet, we treat them as visiting dignitaries by calling them “refugees”. They are fully covered by our government for food, clothing, shelter, medical, counseling, cash, etc. They pay no income or property taxes and we, the poor American souls, provide all the free benefits. These “refugees” are treated in better fashion than our own people on welfare, our great veterans, (deceased, wounded or otherwise), and our senior citizens who have supported the American system all their lives.

In my opinion, Mr. Rios, who has his own peculiar leftist agenda, has completely missed the target with his article. Not once did he ever reach out to the concerned citizens of Oracle, who protested on July 15 on the road to Peppersauce, to discuss or consider, why they were upset. Our government at all levels refused to discuss this matter with us before the “refugees” were slipped into the facility at Peppersauce under the cover of darkness around August 2nd. Does this sound like a transparent government? Mr. Rios you are part of the problem with America today. You are definitely not a Supervisor in my district. Where do you live?
