On Friday, February 13, 2015 Police responded to a delayed robbery/sexual assault report that happened the day before. The victim stated she was walking to work near Baseline and Priest when she was approached from behind by an unknown subject holding a weapon. The subject then robbed the victim and sexually assaulted her.
Detectives immediately began working this investigation and received numerous tips from the public. Over the weekend information was received identifying 18 year old Vincent Thompson as the possible suspect.
Last night, February 15, 2015 Tempe Detectives located and arrested Vincent Thompson in Phoenix for Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Kidnapping.
This continues to be an ongoing investigation regarding additional charges including sexual assault and other potential victims.
