Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich will appeal a ruling in the federal litigation concerning Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
Governor Goug Ducey left the decision to appeal up to Brnovich.
Brnovich decided that he would proceed to appeal U.S. District Court Judge David Campbell ruling that forced Arizona to grant drivers licenses to young people who qualify for the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
On Friday, the Attorney General’s Office filed a notice of appeal seeking to overturn Campbell’s permanent injunction issued in January. Drivers licenses have been issued since then.
