Leslie Allen Merritt Jr. (photo from Facebook)Governor Doug Ducey first tweeted the news that the Department of Public Safety has arrested a suspect, Leslie Allen Merritt Jr., age 21, in the I-10 shooting.
According to officials, DPS has confirmed the use of one 9mm handgun in 4 of the shootings. DPS located the 9mm handgun recently pawned at local pawn shop. Lab analysis confirmed that it is the same gun as that used in the freeway shootings.
Leslie, who pawned the gun is same person who purchased gun.
Leslie Allen Merritt was arrested Friday evening at a WalMart located near 57th Avenue and Northern Avenue.
