Flake Meets Judge Garland

It is hard to imagine how Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake would gauge another’s intellect due to the fact that he is a dim bulb, but this week he met with Judge Merrick Garland and found him to have a “keen intellect.” That assessment of the Harvard grad was hardly earth shattering, but Flake’s support for delaying confirmation was.

“I enjoyed the meeting with Judge Garland. He is obviously a man of accomplishment and keen intellect. He is also kind and engaging. Because this nomination has the potential to so dramatically shift the balance of the court, I continue to believe that the Senate is fully justified in waiting until the presidential election before proceeding to fill the seat,” said Flake in a statement released this week.

As the popular website, Seeingredaz.com noted, “The Daily Caller reported John McCain and Jeff Flake have the distinction of being neck-in-neck for the least popular U.S. Senator prize. Few Arizonans were surprised by the revelation.”
