Carmen Nunez Osorio, age 21, who was deported in June 2014, was arrested Saturday for the murder of Liliana Naranjo, age 25. Naranjo, an apparent vicitm of domestic violence, was found shot to death.
Mesa Police report that Ms. Naranjo was found inside an apartment she shared with up to 5 people near Stapley Drive and Eighth Avenue on Wednesday.
Osorio was booked on charges of second-degree murder and misconduct involving weapons.
Nunez Osorio was deported in June 2014 out of the Nogales Sector, according to sources.
Susan Tully of the Federation for American Immigration Reform stated, “It sounds like it was a safehouse for everyone but the poor young woman who was murdered.”
