Governor Orders Flags At Half-Staff For Fallen Navajo Nation Police Officer

Arizona Governor Doug Ducey ordered flags to fly at half-staff for Navajo Nation Police Officer Leander Frank who was killed on Tuesday in a car crash between Chinle and Tsaile.

The Navajo Nation Police Department reported that Officer Frank had been dispatched to a call Tuesday in the Tsaile area. Officer Frank was killed instantly when his vehicle collided head-on with another car in the middle of Navajo Route 64.

“Like all of our dedicated law enforcement professionals, Officer Frank bravely risked his life every day to protect our citizens and our way of life. His abrupt passing is a sobering reminder to all of us about the fragility of life, and the daily dangers of his job,” stated Governor Ducey.
