Grijalva Elementary Principal Timothy Grivois-Shah notified parents in a letter on January 27, regarding reports from students who had alleged that they had been inappropriately touched by a staff member.
“One thing I can tell you is that we believe we have identified all students who were involved at this point,” wrote Grivois-Shah. “Ultimately, however, we are relying upon parents and students who have concerns to come forward and notify us if they believe we are not yet aware of circumstances that may be relevant.”
Grivois-Shah did not identify the staff member.
Tucson Unified and Tucson Police are investigating the allegations.
“The staff member was immediately removed from any contact with students Wednesday and no longer works in Tucson Unified,” read a statement from TUSD Communications Director Stephanie Boe.
