The Futility of Furthering Failure

By Kathleen M. Dynan

The exaggeration of alliteration in the title above reflects the exaggeration and overly-negative response of the Democratic leadership and other Democrats in the United States Congress to everything our President does. They don’t seem to grasp the basic truths: they lost elections for the Presidency, Senate and House; they lost because Americans were tired of the eight years of stupidity, avarice and disregard for American citizens under Obama; they are not able to stop President Trump’s Cabinet and Supreme Court appointments.

Donald Trump is President because he loves the United States and deplored where our country was headed. He listened to American citizens, heard us and told us that his Presidency would give control of America back to her citizens. He set goals to accomplish that end result and identified the best people to serve in his government to make those goals a reality. President Trump and his team have and will continue to devise the strategies and tactics necessary to achieve each goal. It is a wonderful display of real and significant management. Democrats are not familiar with this process. Their desired end-result is keeping power and furthering their own interests. In their “me-first” world, their only option is to follow the goals, strategies and tactics set by the special interest groups and other donors who keep them in office.

Those indulging in petty, foot-stamping, whining, and anti-Americans-first behavior prove that if they ever had a sense of decency, dignity or intelligence, they have lost those as well. Maybe it will help them come to grips with reality if they reflect on the facts. This was not an overnight rejection of the Democrats. Since Obama was sworn in as President in 2009, Democrats have lost a total of 1,042 seats at the state and federal levels. Specifically, the number of Democrats in the US Senate dropped from 55 to 46; in the US House, their numbers fell from 256 to 194; their governor-ships decreased from 28 to 16; the remaining losses were in State Legislatures. Their most significant loss and America’s biggest gain is Donald J. Trump winning the Presidency.

Democrats have become impotent in government. But, they are not intelligent enough to connect the dots, to see that their words and behavior have rendered them powerless. So take heart fellow Americans. Democrats will continue to be stupid and lose even more elected state and federal positions in 2018 and 2020. That will make the last six years of President Trump’s terms easier. His work to improve all aspects of our lives and the lives of the generations who follow will proceed with less noise and nonsense.
