Multi-Agency Search At Sierra Vista Residence Nets Multiple Arrests

crime scene notice

The Sierra Vista Police Department joined forces with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office to execute a search warrant on Thursday evening, which resulted in the arrest of three adults and the referral of one juvenile.

The warrant was served at a residence in the 200 block of North 3rd Street on Thursday, March 30. The FBI had obtained arrest warrants for individuals believed to be associated with that residence. The SVPD Community Response Team had also been investigating illegal drug activity at the same location, prompting the assistance of local agencies with the search warrant.

When the search was conducted, contact was made with 22-year-old Sierra Vista resident Fausto Valazquez. Valazquez was taken into custody and turned over to the FBI on scene. Shortly after the search, contact was made with 29-year-old Sierra Vista resident Phoelix Begay in the 300 block of North 5th Street where he was taken into custody by the FBI.

In the course of executing the search warrant, 46-year-old Sierra Vista resident Aaron Harper was arrested and then booked into Cochise County Jail. He was charged with possession of a dangerous drug, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a drug crime, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 17-year-old juvenile was referred at the scene on three counts of aggravated assault, two counts of promoting prison contraband, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. The juvenile was booked into the Cochise County Juvenile Detention Center.

The FBI still has an active arrest warrant for 40-year-old Elfrida resident Brian Myers. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the Sierra Vista Police Department dispatch center at (520) 458-3311 or dial 911 as soon as possible.
