On Saturday, April 8, 2017, Phoenix Police Department’s Sexual Investigations Unit detectives attempted to serve a search warrant at
a home near 5600 W Mescal, in reference to child pornography. As police were entering the home, they reported hearing a single gunshot.
Police found a man and woman, 47-year-old Dan Ray Reynolds and Phoenix resident, 32-year-old Jessica Rochelle Garcia deceased.
The Glendale Police Department was called to assume the investigation.
Both individuals suffered from self-inflicted gunshot wounds which were confirmed as the cause of death by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office.
