Applicants Sought For Yuma, Yavapai County Superior Court Vacancy

Governor Doug Ducey has begun accepting applications for vacant judicial positions on the Yuma and Yavapai County Superior Courts.

The Yavapai County Superior Court vacancy was created by the appointment of Judge Jennifer Campbell to the Arizona Court of Appeals. The Yuma County Superior Court vacancy was created by the appointment of Judge Maria Elena Cruz to the Arizona Court of Appeals as well.

Applications for the Yavapai County Superior Court will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017. Applications for the Yuma County Superior Court will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 18th, 2017.

Applicants shall be at least 30 years and less than 65 years of age, of good moral character, admitted to the practice of law in Arizona, a resident of Arizona for five years prior to taking office, and a resident of Yuma County for at least one year prior to taking office.
