On Wednesday, 16-year-old Anthony Maldonado was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex in connection to the death of 21-year-old Jaisaac Sloan.
On April 17, Pima County deputies responded the 3500 block of West Amber Terrace for a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they found Sloan and 20-year-old Austin Buckshaw with gunshot wounds. Sloan was pronounced deceased on scene and Buckshaw was transported to Banner University Medical Center with serious injuries.
Deputies learned the victims were in a camper trailer with other people when the shooting took place. The suspect pulled a gun from a backpack and began to fire. During the incident the suspected shooter was injured and checked himself into a local hospital.
