DNA analysis has confirmed that the body of a young female found in a Vail desert on May 11, is that of 13-year-old Jayden Glomb. She was last seen at home by family members on the evening of May 10, 2017.

According to Tucson Police, on May 11, 2017 at approximately 11:15 a.m., officers responded to a report of a found body in the 10100 block of South Steve Street near Mary Ann Cleveland Way. The caller reported that he was leaving a job site in the area when he noticed a female lying in the desert near the roadway.

When officers arrived, they approached the female and determined that she was deceased.

Detectives were able to determine that the female, who appeared to be in her teens, had only been at that location for a short period of time.

During the investigation, several posts on social media were asking if the female was Ms. Glomb, an Old Vail Middle School student.

An autopsy was conducted, however the cause of death is pending.

Detectives are continuing the investigation and are asking anyone with information to please call 88-CRIME. You can remain anonymous.
