Modesto Fugitive Killed In Kingman Crash

On Wednesday, May 10, at about 9:50 p.m., Kevin Marcus Robertson, 37 of Modesto, CA, was killed in a one vehicle crash in the 100 block of E. Andy Devine Ave.

At about 9:30 p.m., the Kingman Police Department was contacted by authorities in Modesto, CA who had information that Kevin Marcus Robertson, who was wanted on a felony warrant for Child Molestation issued by the Modesto (CA) Police Department, was in the Kingman area. It was reported that Robertson was despondent, suicidal and believed to be armed with a handgun.

At 9:30 p.m., a Kingman Police Department (KPD) officer located Robertson and his vehicle in the parking lot of a business in the 1900 block of E. Andy Devine Ave. Robertson refused the officers commands and fled in his vehicle westbound on E. Andy Devine Ave. Robertson’s vehicle reached speeds in excess of 95 mph. Upon entering the 100 block of E. Andy Devine Ave. Robertson’s vehicle struck the Power House Visitor Center sign post. Robertson was killed in the crash.

AZ Department of Public Safety was asked to investigate the crash. The investigation is on-going.
