Scottsdale Attorney Papazian Reprimanded For Failing To Perform Services

Attorney  was reprimanded for failing to perform services for his clients. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge of the Arizona Supreme Court accepted an agreement for discipline by consent between Papazian and the State Bar of Arizona that resulted in a reprimand.

Papazian represented clients in three separate immigration cases. Clients in all matters paid for representation, but in two of the matters, Papazian failed to perform any work. He abandoned all three matters without notice when he closed his law practice in June 2015.

Papazian also failed to reasonably communicate with his clients during the pendency of all three matters, and in one matter, failed to supervise his legal assistant. He returned fees in all matters after his clients filed Bar complaints against him.

Papazian was ordered to pay $1,277.50 to the State Bar of Arizona for costs and expenses incurred during all proceedings. He is currently summarily suspended for failure to pay dues and may be reinstated under Rule 65 only, which requires a lawyer to demonstrate rehabilitation and fitness during a reinstatement hearing.
