The American people elected Donald Trump as a change agent to “drain the swamp.” It was evident to Americans that Washington, D.C., was corrupted. Under the Obama administration, vast portions of the government were criminalized and weaponized by Obama loyalists.
The fact that the deep state radical left in Washington is leaking false stories and attacking Trump at every opportunity is proof positive that the American people were and are right: Washington is corrupt.
Further proof of radical left media corruption is the recently released Harvard study. The Shorstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy analyzed coverage on the first 100 days of the Trump administration. Seven United States media outlets (CNN, NBC, Fox News, the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal) and three European outlets (the BBC, the UK’s Financial Times and the German broadcaster ARD) were monitored for this analysis.
The study found “that the tone of some outlets was negative in as many as 98 percent of reports, significantly more hostile than the first 100 days of the three previous administrations.” The study also evaluated news across specific topics, such as immigration, healthcare and Russia. On these topics more than 85 percent of the reports were negative.
President Trump has repeatedly claimed that his treatment by the media is not only hostile but also unprecedented. This study supports Trump’s conclusion. It is obvious that the radical left media is part of the swamp that needs to be drained.
In order to drain the swamp, the Trump administration needs to take the following actions:
- Direct the Department of Justice to open an investigation of “Fast & Furious,” the illicit gun running operation approved by Eric Holder. This investigation should also determine whether Holder should be prosecuted for his contempt of Congress.
- Direct the Department of Justice to open an investigation into the Benghazi debacle that left four Americans dead, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. The investigation should determine why Hillary Clinton ignored multiple requests for additional security from Ambassador Stevens. It should also seek answers into the Obama directed cover-up of the true nature of the attack. Lastly, the investigation should identify any State Department employee contributing to and aiding and abetting any part of the Benghazi debacle.
- Direct the Department of Justice to open an investigation into the Lois Lerner-IRS targeting of conservative groups. Include in this investigation the IRS payment of $70 million to the same people who targeted conservative groups.
- Direct the Department of Justice to open an investigation into the Obama administration spying on journalists, to include Eric Holder signing off on a request to wiretap James Rosen.
- Direct the Department of Justice to reopen the Hillary Clinton email server scandal. Director Comey cited more than sufficient evidence to initiate a grand jury hearing.
- Direct the Department of Justice to open an investigation into the Pigford scandal.
- Direct the Department of Justice to open an investigation into the NSA spying scandal, which has inflicted considerable damage to the relationship between the American people and their government.
- Direct the Department of Justice to open an investigation into the Iran nuclear deal and accompanying ransom payments.
- Direct the Department of Justice to open an investigation into the EPA pollution of the Colorado River and the subsequent EPA cover-up.
- Direct the Department of Justice to open an investigation into the Obama administration green energy program. Which companies received federal government grants, loans and guarantees? Who ran those companies? How mush money was kicked back to the Obama administration from these people? How much money did the American people lose in these programs? Establish a complete accountability as to where the money was spent and who benefited.
- Direct all department heads to terminate all Obama holdovers for at least the top three or four layers of management.
- Direct the Department of Justice to investigate George Soros funding of NGOs in foreign countries using U.S. foreign aid tax dollars, including the complicity of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John Kerry.
- Direct the Justice Department to investigate George Soros’ involvement in U.S. Government activities overseas and whether U.S. Government personnel actively followed Gorge Soros’ instructions.
And that’s just the beginning . . .
