Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents arrested two previously convicted sex offenders on Friday.

On Friday morning, Ajo Station agents arrested 32-year-old Honduran national Jose Pineda-Torres near Ajo, Arizona for entering the country illegally. During processing, a records check revealed Pineda was convicted in 2012 for Facilitation of Attempted Aggravated Sexual Battery in Robertson County, Tennessee.

A couple hours later, Douglas Station agents arrested 34-year-old Mexican national Adonay Murrillo-Arellano near Douglas, Arizona after determining he was illegally present in the United States. A records check revealed he was previously deported and was convicted in 2006 for third-degree rape in Pendleton County, Oregon.

Both men now face criminal charges for illegally re-entering the United States.
