Yavapai County Sheriff Seeking Information Regarding “Joe’s Hill Fire.”

Yavapai Silent Witness, 1800-932-3232, is offering a $500 cash reward for any information leading to the arrest of a suspect or suspects involved in the fire at the “C and S” salvage yard in Black Canyon City. The fire was initially discovered late afternoon on Saturday, May 27, 2017. Known as the Joe’s Hill Fire, it has been classified as suspicious and currently under investigation. The fire resulted in several evacuations after it intensified around 11 PM that night.

In the ground level photo, detectives noticed a quad rider nearby as flames became visible – see arrow. Detectives also learned there were other quad riders in the area at the time this photo was taken on May 27, 2017, just after 5 PM. Detectives would like to speak with any of these quad riders who were in the vicinity of the salvage yard at that time.
