Sheriff Looking For Help On Southside Subway Robbery

On Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Pima County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Subway at 3760 South Palo Verde Road for a report of a robbery.

Deputies discovered that a male suspect entered the store and showed one of the employees a black handgun in his waistband while ordering the employee to give him the money from the register. Once the suspect received the money, he exited the store and walked to an awaiting vehicle which was described as a small white passenger car; possibly a Toyota Prius.

The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian, in his mid-to-late 30s
  • Approximately 5’8” to 6’3” tall, 160-180 pounds, with short dark hair and a goatee
  • Last seen wearing a dark blue baseball hat, sunglasses, blue long-sleeve shirt, and blue jeans

It is possible this is the same suspect who was involved in a separate Subway robbery which occurred on May 31st at 5095 North La Canada Drive.

Robbery Assault detectives have taken over the investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in this case.

Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1. You can also submit an anonymous tip, with the potential for a reward, by text, phone, or by going to 88-CRIME.org.
