Tucson Police Investigating Venom Nightclub Homicide

The two suspects as 23-year-old Fredric Stephen Bayles and 33-year-old Davaress Davon Bolden.

The Tucson Police Department is actively investigating an assault that turned deadly at 1104 S. Craycroft Rd. (Venom nightclub).

On June 25, 2017, just before 1:00 a.m., officers from Operations Division Midtown and members from the Tucson Fire Department responded to a report of an assault at Venom nightclub (1104 S. Craycroft Rd.).

The Tucson Fire Department was first on scene and located an adult male inside the restroom of the business with obvious signs of trauma. They immediately began rendering aid. The male was transported to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Sadly, the male succumbed to injuries later that night and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

He has been identified as 64-year-old Tommy Hook. Next of kin have been notified. Detectives from the Tucson Police Department Gang Investigations Unit responded to the scene to continue the investigation.

The detectives learned the victim had been inside the restroom when he was assaulted by two males. The victim was knocked unconscious and left in the restroom. The two suspects exited the restroom and fled the business on motorcycles.

The detectives have worked tirelessly through the night and have identified the two suspects as 23-year-old Fredric Stephen Bayles and 33-year-old Davaress Davon Bolden. Today, detectives obtained felony arrest warrants for Manslaughter for Mr. Bayles and Mr. Bolden.

Mr. Bayles is described as a white male, 6’5”, 210lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.

Mr. Bolden is described as a black male, 5’11”, 160lbs with green eyes and brown hair.
