
Early Thursday morning, just after 4:30 a.m., two men entered the 7-11 convenience store at 7084 E. Broadway Blvd. One male wearing a black bandanna and black sweatshirt was armed with a handgun. The other male wearing a red bandanna and black hooded sweatshirt was armed with a machete.
The male armed with the handgun jumped over the counter before locating a clerk in another part of the store. The suspect walked the clerk back over to the register and demanded money.
The suspect armed with a machete located another clerk in the store and made him get down on the ground. He then assaulted that clerk causing minor injuries. The suspects were given an undisclosed amount of money before they fled the store on foot.
The Robbery Unit detectives are continuing this investigation and are asking anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of these suspects to please call 911 or 88-CRIME (you can remain anonymous). These males are considered armed and dangerous.
