Flagstaff Man Kicked Out Of Bar, Shoots At Roommates

On August 4, at 4:15 a.m., the Flagstaff Police Department began to receive several telephone calls of shots fired from the 1900 block of North First Street. The shooter, Horacio “Rosco” Leal, age 21, had been downtown and gotten kicked out of a drinking establishment.

Leal had been staying with two female residents at 1924 North First Street. When he arrived at the residence an argument ensued where Leal was asked to leave. Leal became upset and fired three to four rounds from a handgun. The females fled the residence.

When officers began arriving in the area, they briefly observed Leal run back towards the direction of the residence. The SWAT team was deployed to the area along with officers and they located Leal inside the residence. He was taken into custody at about 7:52 a.m.
