Flagstaff Police Investigating Ride-by Shooting, Cyclist Sought

On August 6, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Flagstaff Police officers responded to the area of 2100 N. Center Street for a report of a ride-by shooting. A man said he shot at by a white male on a red or white bike.

According to police, the suspect was wearing a long sleeved black shirt and a black hat. The suspect was last seen heading west on Fourth Avenue towards West Street on the bicycle. Investigators learned that two brothers were walking in this area when they engaged in a disagreement with the suspect on the bicycle. The cyclist ultimately pulled out a handgun and fired in the direction of one of the victims, apparently striking the asphalt street. Either debris from the street or shrapnel from the bullet struck the victim. The injury was minor, and did not require medical attention.
