6 Humboldt Juveniles, One A Probationer, Arrested For Auto Theft, Property Damage

Deputies located and recovered the stolen car from a wash in Humboldt

On August 2, 2017, YCSO deputies were dispatched to a reported vehicle theft involving a tan 1995 Buick LeSabre stolen from a residence in the 2700 block of S. Butte Street, Humboldt. The victim told deputies he suspected a neighbor’s teenaged son was involved. Deputies also learned of a property damage and hit and run incident involving the stolen vehicle when it crashed into a fence and trees on private property in the 2800 block of S. Rancho Place, Humboldt.

The next day, deputies located and recovered the stolen car from a wash in Humboldt. Based on evidence obtained at the scene of the recovered vehicle, deputies determined 6 juveniles were involved and spent the entire day identifying and locating the suspects. During the search of the Humboldt community for suspects, 2 of those identified ran from a house which resulted in a foot pursuit and ‘hide and seek’ game before they were captured 30 minutes later.

Stolen Keys

As the investigation continued, YCSO detectives assisted by writing 2 search warrants for homes in Humboldt and a 3rd juvenile suspect was arrested who admitted his involvement. The 4th juvenile suspect was also found and identified as 17-year-old Tristan Roque who is on active probation. Keys to the stolen car were found hidden in his bedroom. Later that day, the 5th juvenile suspect was arrested. The 6th suspect was found the next date and arrested.

3 of suspects are 15-years-old and the remaining 2 suspects are 17-years-of-age. All 6 juvenile suspects were booked at the Prescott Juvenile Detention Center on charges including Auto Theft and Property Damage. Further investigations are ongoing regarding the involvement of these suspects in additional criminal activity in the area.
