Naco Port of Entry Undergoing Traffic Circulation Change

Naco Port of Entry

The Naco Port of Entry in Bisbee is preparing to upgrade security cameras and imaging systems.  The project began on August 28, 2017 and is expected to be completed in two weeks.

No construction activities are planned over the Labor Day weekend. The Port of Entry will remain open during construction with very short delays to dig trenches and pour concrete. During these activities, they should have flaggers who will guide drivers through the work zone. Drivers are advised to be alert for workers and to obey all traffic warning signs.

When the project is complete, access to Towner Ave will not be available through either the Port of Entry or Naco Highway. Access to local businesses will be routed on Dominguez and Newell Streets to reach Towner Ave. The permanent closure of access through to Towner Ave. is expected to occur Wednesday, September 6. Mexico bound traffic should continue to utilize the route along Naco Highway.
