Bike Riding Bandits Like Scratchers Tickets, Cigarettes

On Wednesday, May 31, 2017, deputies responded to the Circle K located at 2080 West Ruthrauff Road for a theft in which a male suspect stole cigarettes and lottery tickets. Community Problems detectives investigated the case and arrested 30-year-old Robert Estep Jr. for the May 31st incident, as well as for a similar incident on June 8th.

Detectives were then alerted to similar incidents which occurred June 11th, June 21st, and June 26th where three different suspects entered Circle K stores and stole cigarettes and lottery tickets. The suspects attempted to cash the stolen scratcher tickets soon after the thefts. Surveillance photos indicate the suspects worked together to cash the stolen scratchers tickets and are associated with Mr. Estep Jr.

The outstanding suspects are described as:

Suspect #1:

  • Caucasian male, approximately 5’9”, thin build,
  • a goatee extending to his sideburns and mustache.
  • Tattoo on the Right Elbow

Suspect #2:

  • Caucasian male, approximately 5’10”,
  • a shaved head and goatee
  • Seen riding a black BMX style bike.

Suspect #3:

  • Caucasian male, approximately 5’6”-5’9”,
  • short brown hair and a goatee that wraps from his jawline to sideburns
  • Seen riding a silver mountain bike.
