Woman Found Dead In North Tucson Alley

On September 17, 2017, around 2:30 p.m., Tucson Police Department officers and members from the Tucson Fire Department responded to a 911 call reference a check welfare on a female in the alley south of Navajo Rd. and west of Fontana Ave.

Upon arrival, officers found a Caucasian female in her fifties with apparent trauma. She was pronounced deceased on scene. Her identity is being withheld, pending next of kin notification.

The investigation is in the early stages and an autopsy will be performed this week to determine cause and manner of death. Detectives are requesting anyone with information related to this incident to call 911 or 88-Crime (you can remain anonymous).
