Georgia Man Arrested For Threatening Maricopa County Judge

A Georgia man, Gordon Daniel Rose, who was involved in a child custody dispute, has been arrested by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s personnel for allegedly harassing and threatening a Maricopa County Superior Court Judge. According to authorities, over a one-month period, Rose continuously harassed Judge Lori Bustamante through numerous phone calls, e-mails and posts on social media.

Gordon believes that Judge Bustamante is the leader of an organized crime ring and has become increasingly obsessed with uncovering a conspiracy and demanding her resignation.

Rose is currently engaged in a family court case that involves the custody of his children who live in Arizona. He used social media to threaten Judge Bustamante and to state that he would have his children with him in Georgia soon. Rose spoke by telephone recently to a Valley law enforcement official and stated that he would be traveling to Arizona and would not leave without his children.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Threat Management Unit tracked Suspect Rose as he drove from Georgia to Arizona. The unit was activated because Rose has an active Civil Arrest warrant for failure to appear and several injunctions against harassment and orders of protection in which he has avoided service. He now faces charges of using a Computer to Alarm or Torment and Contempt of Court. The arrest took place on September 18, 2017. Rose remains in the Maricopa County Jail.
