Father Carl Carlozzi, the Phoenix Fire Department chaplain, passed away on Sunday. Father Carlozzi succumbed to esophageal cancer.
The department tweeted on Sunday: “His love and spiritual guidance has served thousands.”
Fr. Carlozzi served the department for 25 years.
Fr. Carlozzi, an Episcopal priest, was the recipient of the Hon Kachina Award for Outstanding Volunteerism in Arizona.
