Man Sought in Connection With Park Avenue Hit And Run

Caleb Armando Flores Castro, age 21, is being sought by Tucson Police in connection with a serious injury hit and run collision involving pedestrians on Park Avenue on September 30, 2017, just before 6:30 p.m.

On September 30, 2017, just before 6:30 p.m., officers from Operations Division West and members from the Tucson Fire Department responded to a report of a serious injury hit and run collision involving pedestrians and a vehicle. Upon arrival, they located an adult male with obvious signs of trauma. He was immediately transported to a local area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Two other male pedestrians left the scene prior to police arrival but eventually responded to a local area hospital.

Detectives learned four adult males had been riding together in a blue 2016 Chevrolet Cruze when an argument began between the males. The three male passengers exited the vehicle on N. Park Ave., north of 6th St. The three men began walking in a southwesterly direction across the dirt area on the northwest quadrant. The driver of the Chevrolet Cruze, Flores Castro, drove onto the sidewalk area and struck one of the men and brushed against another. The third male was not injured. Flores Castro driver then fled the area.

Later that evening, a citizen in the area of E. Fairland Strav. and S. Country Club Rd. called 911 to report a suspicious vehicle parked in the area. Officers located the outstanding blue 2016 Chevrolet Cruze. The vehicle was unoccupied. Detectives furthered the investigation and identified Flores Castro. They have obtained a felony arrest warrant for two counts of Aggravated Assault (A Class 3 Felony).

Flores Castro is described as a Hispanic male, 5’8”, 150lbs with black hair and brown eyes. He may possibly be in Mexico.
