Arizona Doctor Accused Of Forging Prescriptions For Adderall

A State Grand Jury indicted Kevin Michael McKeown on fraud charges related to forging prescriptions to obtain Adderall. McKeown, 40, is facing 24 felony charges including Fraudulent Schemes, Forgery, Taking the Identity of Another, and Obtaining Dangerous Drugs by Fraud.

The indictment alleges between December 2015 and January 2017, McKeown, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, forged the signature of an out-of-state doctor in order to obtain Adderall, a dangerous drug.

The investigation started when a local pharmacist became suspicious after Dr. McKeown allegedly dropped off multiple prescriptions written by an out-of-state doctor. During the investigation, the out-of-state doctor reportedly told law enforcement he has never prescribed Dr. McKeown any dangerous drugs, and that he has never even been to the State of Arizona.
