Pima Sheriff Asks For Assist Identifying Circle K Assault Suspect

On Sunday, September 10, 2017, just after 7:00 p.m., Pima County deputies responded to the Circle K located at 5818 South Palo Verde Road for a report of an assault. Upon arrival, deputies learned a male suspect had approached the store clerk who was standing outside and proceeded to punch the clerk multiple times in the face.

After interviewing the victim, deputies learned the suspect claimed to have been upset with the clerk for not providing a courtesy cup to him about a week prior. The suspect was scared away by the victim’s friend, who witnessed the event.

The suspect is described as:

• Caucasian, possibly in his 30s, with short brown hair, and a goatee
• Approximately 5’8” to 5’10” in height, medium build
• Last seen wearing a dark gray long-sleeved button down shirt, black pants, and carrying a black backpack

Robbery/Assault detectives have taken over the investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1.
