On Monday, Pablo Alejandro Reyes, age 24, living in Casa Grande was arrested for negligent homicide. The arrest comes after a Grand Jury Indictment and lab results came back showing the suspect tested positive for THC (marijuana) at the time of the accident.
On April 28th, 2017, Reyes was attempting to pass cars in a “no passing” area near McCartney and Overfield at a high rate of speed. Reyes did not see the oncoming traffic until it was too late. The motorcyclist swerved to avoid Reyes and crashed. Benjamin Barth, 43, died instantly.

Reyes is facing negligent homicide charges.
