Members of the State Bar of Arizona Board of Governors have selected Robyn Austin of Tucson as the newest Board member.
Austin, the Community Liaison for Tucson Federal Credit Union, is one of four non-lawyers who serve on the Board.
The Board, which has a poor reputation, is the governing body of the State Bar, a nonprofit association that regulates lawyers in Arizona.
The State Bar of Arizona includes approximately 24,500 attorneys, who have no choice but to join the Bar in order to provide services in the state.
